A traditional Dutch pub just like you know it—and just like you sometimes miss it. Here, sing-along hits blast from the speakers, Hazes stares at you from the TV, and every night feels a little like Friday. Hans en Marianne is a place to hang out. For a drink that goes on a bit longer than planned, a good conversation at the bar, or a table full of food and stories. The atmosphere is laid-back, warm, and quintessentially Amsterdam. Exactly as a traditional pub should be: no frills, but plenty of character.

 

The café is also available for for private events for birthdays, parties, promotions, or a cozy dinner. Whether you have something to celebrate or just want to get together in a casual setting, Hans and Marianne adapt effortlessly. Intimate when needed, lively when the mood calls for it. The name is a nod to the past. Bruin Café Hans en Marianne is named after Marianne van Meurs and Hans Vugts, former directors of Hotel Casa400, which used to be located in this building. A tribute to the history of the place—while keeping both feet firmly planted in the present. In short: Bruin Café Hans en Marianne isn’t just a café you pop into for a quick visit, but one where you’ll want to linger. For a single drink… or for the whole evening.
